The problem isn't relettering the bus physically...it is that CHP won't like it. It messes up their tracking records...just complicates things. I don't know if you turned in any paperwork regarding retirement yet, but they won't like it if we pull it out and put it back in either.
The bus is not well suited to replace T103. It is not short, nor does it have seatbelts. Those are two things I am looking for to replace T103, if at all.
Stretch, I like the idea...but we don't need a full-sized route conventional bus right now, and it would complicate DMV and CHP records. Keeping the bus would cost money, rather than gain money from selling it. The bus is unrealistic to local fleets, and has had a hard life/bad driver.

Right now there is no benefit to putting it on route. Lets keep it though, and we can put it in service (if needed), or sell it (if needed). I don't want to pay hundreds to prep it for a route, and then not use it for months.
