Pre/Post Forms Change Poll

Okay, the way we have the Driving Records right now seemed like a good idea at first, but now seems kindof rediculous. Each time we switch routes, or hire a new driver everything has to be switched around. In addition to this, records by bus are not kept. In addition, there is confusion which bus to post under when you drive a spare.
I think it would be better if each bus had a driving record for pre/post trip forms rather than each driver...what do you guys think.

By bus would be fine by me. If you use a bus, post your information under it. Simple as that.

I said to change it also! Even though I drove 3 different buses last week, it was easier to put them in one place but I would be for this change!

Neutral here. While changing it would mean that every bus is paid attention to, straying away from this system would mean that there is no record of each driver's driving; keeping it in one place makes it a lot easier on the CFO (not only speaking about myself at this point) for payment, and it makes it easier to keep track of information for driver biographies.

Maybe we can do both?

I think it would be less confusing to do set it up bus by bus! If you use the bus, you post in that bus' thread! :)

Just pretend my vote is to change it! It seemed a lot more complicated to me this morning. I will say though, keeping all the drivers stuff in one place like the driving record would be nice instead of searching around for it when I become CFO. Either way, if it doesn't work out we can always go back.

It would be harder for the CFo...I didn't think of that. Like Kyle said though, we can try it...
Maybe have a notepad that you jot down the persons name when you see their pre/post form. It still may be harder though...


I'll just change it before Kyle gets used to the easy way, lol!

Sam, when I see someone turn in their form, either I pay them immediately, or I leave the topic unread until I'm ready to pay. I have a special routine that I use when doing checkbooks. It involves 4 tabs (3 lately, because of a lack of charter routes, but that's changing!). The leftmost is the driving record, which I inspect for the time the forms were turned in. Then the checkbook. Then Pending Bonuses (usually). Then Last Transaction, where I write one name at a time as I pay (when I finish the last payment, I immediately write down the time that I saved the last checkbook). From left to right, it goes in the order that I use the tab.

Anyway, it would be very difficult to pay sub drivers if they happened to switch buses one week. It's a LOT simpler to look at one post, and see all the times that the driver was driving.

I guess I'm saying that we should stick with what we're doing. ::) (But you can change it as soon as Kyle is in charge of the payments. :P)

LOL Eric...I do agree with you on that...and easier for the driver as well.

Throwing easyness for the driver aside (hey, they are paid to fill out forms!) what if we went to the way I am proposing, and also created a new hours form or topic...or just included this in the account discussion threads. Each week the driver would be required to turn in their hours.
IE:
Reg. Route: M T W Th F
Wek. Route: Sa Su
Vac. Days: None (I know we don't count these anyway)
Act. Routes: GHS Band 10/9

I did ask for something like that form sub drivers when I first became CFO, but it never really worked out, so I settled for looking at "Days Driven" in the current forms. ;D
