P016 will remain out of service until paint is completed. Interior will be done first, then I'll move to the exterior.

The interior white areas of the bus have been sprayed and completed. I'll unwrap the seats and uncover the windows later this evening. The lettering has also been removed from the exterior, lights as well, and the bus has been masked off.

The interior masking has been removed, and it looks like brand new. I did the major body prep work on the outside of P016 today, and painted the rear of the bus. Right now, it looks like a New York spec bus without the black on it.

Eric, any changes you would like to make in the black accents design? I know your FE's have the black paint only on the very top surface of the rub rail, rather than the entire thing, would you like to keep it that way?

Not a problem, let me know if you think of anything you want to change. I ordered the new lettering for it also, and that should be in Friday afternoon.

Do we have the same font/size/etc. lettering for every single bus, or does it vary?

If it CAN vary... shoot! GAAAHH! *Slams fist on table* I'd like it to be styled like bus 9 is in real life, but I don't have any pictures of bus 9.... Well. [Insert bus 9 picture here] That's what I'd like it to be. ;D

There is no uniform fleet font, so however you want is good.

Also, specs say "rubrails may be black or NSBY" so as long as they ardent blue it's fine.

I ordered an italicized, bolded Arial Narrow for the lettering, and the numbers are cyrvetica.

The exterior sides of the bus have been painted, and the front was done a few short weeks ago so it's left untouched, except for the upper bulk head. In a few hours I'll come back and mask off the sides for painting the rub rails. I have the paint baking on the bus right now.

The paint is setup enough for me to tape off and do the black. I'll mask off the sides and do the black rub rails before I leave tonight.

Black paint is going on in about 2 minutes after I suit up.

Black paint is on the rub rails. Took me awhile longer than I expected to finish the job, but it's done. Tomorrow, or later tonight I'll clear coat everything. I'm working late tonight, I'm feeling motivated.
