2010-2011 End of Year Procedure
« on: June 01, 2011, 06:57:42 pm »
After completing your final school route of the year, the following must be completed within 3 days. Personal buses should be turned in as soon as possible.

Route and Personal Buses:

- Park in your designated space. Line up front tires with yellow line that is parallel to the front of your bus, do not line up the front of your bus with the yellow line. This will prevent ruts in the blacktop by keeping the buses off their usual parts of the pavement.
- Pump down the brakes
- Leave key in ignition
- Sweep interior of bus
- Swiffer floors, non scented cleaner can be found in the shop office. Do not use scented.
- Spray and clean all glass on interior
- Close and latch all windows, hatches or exit doors
- Wipe seats down
- Wipe dash board
- Remove all personal belongings
- Remove name tag and put it on my file cabinet
- Leave door open

Anything left in the buses will be thrown away or taken depending on how much I like it.

A rundown of summer bus work:

- Rafting buses will be first
- Full exterior chassis and body wash
- Body wax and shine
- Repair undercoating if need be
- Seal floors on rafting buses
- Fill First Aid
- Tighten interior equipment such as mirrors, hard drives, railings etc.
- Replace or patch ripped seat covers
- Wash wall side seat mount flange
- Grease Doors
- Anything else that is deemed necessary

SUMMER INSPECTIONS: Each bus will receive a full, standard inspection

- Rafting buses will be done monthly
- Summer route buses bi-monthly
- Personal buses will be looked over before use on trips only, unless they are running summer routes. If a bus is not used on a trip for more than 60 days, it will receive an inspection.

Upon completion of the tasks required, please sign your name below along with the bus number you're turning in.

Kodie, I'll help you out with the spares if you like and just keep the sub buses ready in case they're needed. I'll do 18101 and 18501 tomorrow and 18701/2 and 19202 on Friday.

If the other sub drivers don't do theirs in time, could you do those?

Eric, be sure to get under the driver's seat; there is alot of gum under there!

10-4 Kodie!

The last day of school was today, and bidding is next week; summer routes start the week after that. Thus, each bus has a minimum of one week off for inspections/etc.

Summer maintenance and washing schedule will be up soon. Inspections will start Monday morning and last approximately a week. The idea is to inspect the bus, then give it a real good scrub down, and park it.

Well, I will make the assumption that everybody did what they were supposed to.

All of the buses have been cleaned and prepped for the new school year. The buses still running routes until Tuesday will be gone over once again. I ask that the drivers of those buses thoroughly clean them.
