I don't want a chance to drive an IC RE :P. I like 10402. If anything, I'd like to drive a 2010 EF or All American FE, but like I said, I'm very happy with 10402!

Not that much for middle schoolers (just one row) but highschoolers could only be four a row then...it would be better to compromise and go with 5 a row of any grade; but with the thicker seats, and a bit more leg room it reduces capacity alot!

well mine doesnt its still an 84 I mean I know that there is capacity guidelines as far as that I would never put 84 kids on a bus but its supposed to hold that and yes is still equipped with seat belts. Mine has the flexguard seats like Kodie was talking about and Sam it wont cost you anything because like I said I ordered more to get a cheaper price but dont have anything to do with the bus and it would a shame to see such a nice bus go bad because I cant use it that is why I was offering to you all if you wanted it.

I don't know how you can't lose capacity with the thicker seats, but that is 84 passenger for middle graders. You can still only fit  4 highschoolers in a row, hence the 5 across being better. I will consider it...but I don't think I can take that expensive a bus off of your guys hands for free!

Lets go ahead and get this bus fixed...what is the price estimate?
It has to be much cheaper than a new bus, and I beleive we can get many more years out of it.

They say to do a full replacement to that portion of the engine would be approximately $3500.00 with labor included.

They also suggest a tune up which is an extra $30.

so in total $3530.00    This could change.

Estimated time is about 6 weeks. They are backed up with work.

A bit expensive...but if the bus was in working condition it could go for a good deal more...upwards of $25,000, if not more.

I got a call from Cummins today, and 10001 is done a day early. I'm going to need someone to ride over with me to get it either tonight or tomorrow. I'd prefer today. It's only about a 20 minute ride there.
