I can't seem to find any visible problems with the bus. I did however find that a pin within the accelerator assembly was bent which was causing the problem with the pedal sinking. I'll cut a little piece to fit in there.

Someone needs to learn not to jam the pedal down when its not responding...jk  ;D

What Eric said...lol
Tomorrows charter is completely at the wrong time for me...I have been so busy this week, I don't know if I will be able to assign route consolidations as it requires thinking, lol. I will get around to it tonight though...

^ For ease of finding it....

Quote
Bryce, use 18702 tomorrow morning. Use P041 for LL charter.

Me, use 19902 driving down for LL charter.

Blazer, use 18502 (or is it 18501?) tomorrow afternoon. Swing by base after your regular routes and drive P016 down to San Francisco. Then I'll take P016 for the remainder of the trip and you'll use 19902.

Bryce: Yeah, I should never have looked at that old roster, because sometimes I get the numbers mixed up. ;D (I'm not saying it's bad to have; it's cool to look at previous Arrow buses, but it can be confusing to look at compared to the new list, LOL)

I wish we still had 10601-10603.

I have spent MANY hours underneath this bus today trying to figure out what's wrong, but have only been able to correct one thing. The bus wouldnt come out of idle because the spring on the throttle cable was bent, stuck, and had a stick or something jammed in there.. god only knows how that got there.

I still havent figured out what the issue is with the oil pressure, but I'm going to pull out the pump, clean the filter and see what happens then.

After cleaning out the filter and tuning up the pump a little bit the bus is holding it's pressure, but not as well as it should. I'm going to go deeper into the engine tomorrow and check it out. For now though.. I have spent most of my shop hours under this bus today.. so I'm outta here!

10401 Back In Service

After pulling stuff apart and putting it back together the engine was holding pressure just fine. I don't know what I did, but it's all good now. I also did a bunch of other stuff to the bus while I had it which includes changing oil, cleaning fuel and oil filterstuning up the oil pump and flushing out the lines, replaced the pin in the petal, and fixed the throttle to engine connection.

Since I'm feeling generous, I am going to let you have this bus back. If there is still an issue with the oil pressure or idle, let me know. I took it for a test run and everything seemed to check out ok, but you never know with buses.
