The transmission should be in late this afternoon, about 5:30. Allison agreed to bring it to us directly. It's going to cost us $3241.00(No rounding down Eric :) )

As said before, it probably won't be touched until Monday after inspections are over.

I only rounded down with P101's upgrade because it was coming out of his account.... Since this number doesn't come out of a budget, rounding isn't necessary. ;)

The transmission came in and got the old one removed from the bus, what a task that was! I'm going to do a once over underneath while I have it out to see what everything looks like under there, and then I'll start prepping it for the new one.

Alright.. the transmission is in place. Everything is in the process of being hooked up to it. I will take care of the fluids and testing. If all goes well it should be back in it's parking space by tomorrow morning.

Lol Mike: "assume im there" you know what happens when you assume right?  ;)

Are you excited to have 19001 with that screaming 6v92 (or is a 6v92T?) with a new Allison PTS3000 hooked up to it?

(Also: how many horsepower was the 6v92/6v92T rated at in school bus applications like this? Gilligcoaches.net says 210hp from the turbo, but i found a site that has the 6v92 at 276hp and the 6v92T at 322hp. Seems like it was a typo that meant the 6v71 with 238hp or the 6v71T with 277hp.)

Edit: unless they seriously downrated the engine for reliability/other reasons

yeah im pretty happy....idk bout the hp...its got some giddy up though....but it will be nice...the old tranny was gettin to have some very rough shifts, so this smooth shifting Allison will be excellent

I can't remember the horsepower offhand, but I can check my records.

(Actually I am going to ask the Transportation Director of the district that operates this bus, but I won't see her until the last week in May...so I hope I remember...lol).

The trans is hooked up, there were a few unexpected delays, but I suppose that is to be expected (That sounds funny). I'm taking it on a run around town now.
